TITLE: CONTENT MARKETING MANAGER

Reports to: Marketing Director
Location: Town of Mount Royal

OVERVIEW:

The Content Marketing Manager will strategize our marketing efforts for each of our e-commerce websites and will develop and direct all our channels in relation to marketing to help drive sales. They will manage a small team to make sure everything runs smoothly. As we expand our footprint in the North American market, we are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in our exciting journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

As a Content Marketing Manager, you will find yourself engaged in a diverse range of tasks that keep you challenged and excited. Your responsibilities include:

  • Campaign Organization: Managing the marketing calendar and creating campaigns for each of our transactional websites and leading members of the marketing team to coordinate and execute campaigns. 
  • Management: Responsible for managing a team of two to make sure that marketing campaigns and projects are executed on time and that the marketing calendar is followed. 
  • Newsletter Launch: ensuring the launch of all newsletters are on time, proofreading, ensuring products are on line and appropriate banners are in place, with the help of our newsletter coordinators.
  • Social Media: work with the Social Media Specialist to create a strategy to ensure our brands are growing and that we are following the marketing calendar.   
  • Web Banners: Creating biweekly web banners on Shopify websites to engage customers and highlight featured products.
  • Content Approval: leading the approval process with the Marketing Director for social media posts, newsletters, and any other content created by the marketing department
  • Alignment: Making sure that our Canadian branding is aligned with what the brand is doing in the home country. 
  • Finding new marketing opportunities, and brainstorming ideas.
  • Analyzing sales statistics and using them to report on the success of marketing campaigns and products.
  • Newsletter Database Management: Organizing and tagging new accounts in our newsletter database.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Collaborating with various departments, marketing staff, and occasionally with brand representatives to facilitate marketing projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving marketing-related challenges as they arise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Educational Background: While a degree in marketing, communications, or public relations is welcomed, it is not mandatory.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Management experience: we are looking for someone who knows how to lead a small team.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in both French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, essential for smooth event execution.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, and help manage the team.
  • Shopify Experience: Although not mandatory, experience with Shopify is considered an asset.
  • Online merchandising is a big asset for this role.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: An innovative and creative thinker who approaches challenges with solutions-oriented thinking.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Team Player: A personable and collaborative mindset, able to thrive in a team environment.
  • Adaptability: The capability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to evolving situations.
