The Communications and Media Relations Department of the West-Central Montreal CIUSSS offers a seasoned, flexible and enthusiastic communicator the rare opportunity to join our ranks in a position particularly focused on Frontline Services and rehabilitation care projects. THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Providing strategic advice and proposing communication techniques, guiding and supporting the Services and Departments, mainly Frontline Services and Rehabilitation;
  • Creating communication plans and implementing communication strategies designed to reach the target audience;
  • Conducting research, writing and revising thematic and persuasive information documents (digital and printed) targeting the internal and external communities of the West-Central Montreal CIUSSS, and coordinating the production of these documents by working closely with other professionals, including the team's social media manager, the graphic designer, the translator, the web team, etc., to ensure message consistency, as well as occasionally working with external suppliers (video production teams, printers, etc.);
  • Collaborating with our Media Relations Team to propose different article ideas. Previous media relations experience would be a significant asset;
  • Contributing to the content of all social media affiliated with the West-Central Montreal CIUSSS.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent, in communications, public relations, journalism or in a discipline relevant to the functions or have a comparative evaluation of studies done outside Quebec issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Graduate degree, an asset.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least three (3) years of experience in communication or in a related field. Experience in the healthcare field would be an asset;
  • University degree in communication or an equivalent;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, Canva, and all social media platforms. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, an asset.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Team spirit and initiative;
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service.
