Job Description

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for building Canada Goose's global reputation as a leading lifestyle brand. Through leadership of the teams and close cross-functional collaboration, the SVP, Brand Marketing will lead the development of all brand marketing initiatives, from research and insights to strategy, execution and evaluation. This is a key cross-functional leadership role requiring a global outlook, collaboration with regional marketing teams as well as Strategy, Sales, Product, and Corporate Communications.

The SVP will require strong organizational leadership, global market experience, stakeholder management, strategic mindset and a strong sense of cross-functional business leadership. This role will drive transformational growth for the business and brand at high velocity.

The Role:

  • Develop annual marketing plans aligned to the long term brand vision, corporate priorities, and seasonal initiatives in collaboration with Marketing leadership and cross-functional Leadership teams.
  • Define market and related product positioning, insight into appropriate distribution channels required to maximize revenue and brand positioning, market research/competitive analysis, go-to-market sales tools, customer segment selection and penetration plans.
  • Protect the brand at all costs, this role will be required to exude brand discipline and inspire others to do the same.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports and their teams while developing a team that is passionate, dedicated, commercially astute, efficient and high achieving.
  • Ensure product and brand positioning are integrated and reflected across all consumer touchpoints and sales channels.
  • Manage new product launches and support insight into product development based on innovation, brand development, market trends, competitive research, customer feedback and consumer research and positioning.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust marketing strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Plan, monitor and meet department annual budget goals.
  • Demonstrate, support and encourage Canada Goose Values within the department as well as other key characteristics for success- Positive and Passionate, Teamwork, Achievement, Respect and Empowerment.
  • Support an environment of empowerment for team and colleagues with the resources, tools and support they need to encourage them to anticipate and exceed expectations.
  • Create monthly marketing reports which update the business on work ?in flight? and marketing results to date.

About You:

  • 15+ years of brand management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in marketing or related field from an accredited institution
  • Management of a senior marketing team with diverse skill sets
  • Experience integrating direct reports into the go-to-market process
  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop plans that will drive results in the short and long term with ability to mentor, develop and coach a team to ultimate performance
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and both encourage and facilitate connections
