THE POSITION

Multisportscanada is seeking the perfect candidate for the role of Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator. The ideal candidate is responsible for building, managing and deploying sponsorship opportunities for a select number of sporting events.

The coordinator, working with Multisportscanada staff, will tailor sponsor benefit packages and pricing for a select number of events under their umbrella. They will also build prospect lists of potential sponsors and will track sponsorship sales activities to ensure budget objectives are met and exceeded.

Finally, the Coordinator will ensure that all contractual obligations of sponsors are fulfilled, including management of exclusivity rights.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Procurement

• Develop and coordinate the sponsorship programs to include long term multi-year engagements;
• Prepare and maintain targeted lists of potential sponsors

Account Stewardship

• Develop and execute partner recognition strategy
• Ensure that all sponsorship commitments are fulfilled as contracted
• At-event service to event sponsors (as needed);
• Responsible for the execution of sponsorship contracts
• Maintain regular and on-going correspondence and communication with all accounts;
• Work with Multisportscanada to create all sponsorship packages, templates and agreements;

Strategy and Planning

• Research and develop new revenue opportunities for the key events
• Build, manage, and evaluate annual sponsorship plan that identifies sponsorable product, target markets, package opportunities, exclusivity, naming and other related properties;
• Develop individual sponsor benefit packages and pricing, to include (but not limited to): activation opportunities, marketing and communications exposure, networking opportunities and brand development strategies.
• Coordinate, collaborate and consult with Multisportscanada to ensure relevance of opportunities to prospects;
• Track prospects, sales and contract deliverables for each event

Job Type: Contract, Honorarium paid by commission
