Requirements:

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and responsibilities:

  • Working towards a BMgmt in Communications, Social Responsibility, Indigenous Studies or a Social Science Degree
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with exceptional problem solving and organizational skills
  • Comprehensive computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Successful candidates must be motivated self-starters, able to work under minimal supervision and be able to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Participate in Teck's Health and Safety programs to ensure that everyone goes home safe and healthy every day
  • Create and deploy both internal and external communications including print and online content, social media, print, radio and digital advertising, and employee newsletters.
  • Support community investment initiatives such as local events, mine tours, and donations.
  • Assist in facilitating engagement tactics such as open houses, social risks assessments, and feedback tracking.
  • Be responsible for document management with various data management tools such as; TrackLine and SiteLine
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.
