Position: Marketing Manager ("MM")

Marketing Manager (?MM?) in charge of a marketing department to generate a high quantity of Marketing Qualified Leads (?MQLs?) for timely submission to the sales department to be further qualified into Sales Qualified Leads (?SQLs?), with a high percentage of the SQLs becoming Theralase customers, primarily in Canada and the United States and secondarily internationally for Theralase's medical laser systems (?Products?) through a Recurring Revenue Model (?RRM?).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve/exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual MQL generation objectives
  • Research, analyze and compile a one (1) year rolling marketing strategy, to be updated quarterly, with clearly defined marketing performance objectives (quantity and quality of MQLs) for themselves and their team and present it to senior management for review and approval
  • Execute and optimize on the one (1) year rolling marketing strategy to achieve/exceed marketing performance objectives (quantity and quality of MQLs)
  • Provide daily management and hands-on leadership to the marketing team to achieve/exceed marketing performance objectives in Canada and the US
  • Mentor and train the marketing team in the completion of their marketing performance objectives
  • Track marketing performance objectives of all marketing employees and territories through a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (?

CRM?) program

  • Analyze performance of each marketing employee and each marketing campaign in real-time via the CRM / Excel spreadsheets using the following criteria: new MQL generation (quantity), conversion ratio of MQLs to SQLs (quality), time to close to sale (time), cost per MQL (cost), cost per SQL (cost) and cost per sale (cost)
  • Design and deliver marketing assets in digital, video and print versions to MQLs (product brochures, patient brochures, practitioner testimonials, patient testimonials, posters, et cetera) to achieve/exceed marketing objectives
  • Generate MQLs through various media, including: video, digital and print (website, social media, email blasts, digital and print advertising, promotions, special offering, seminars, webinars, and speaking engagement tradeshows)
  • Host and lead weekly marketing meetings with the marketing team to discuss and provide feedback on marketing performance objectives to date, opportunities for improvement, new opportunities to generate additional or better-qualified MQLs and as a team adjust the marketing strategy mix to achieve/exceed marketing performance objectives
  • Compile and present a 1 to 2 page executive summary of status to marketing performance objectives (new MQL generation (quantity), conversion ratio of MQLs to SQLs (quality), time to close (time), cost per MQL (cost), cost per SQL (cost) and cost per sale (cost)) to senior management on a weekly basis
  • Mentor the marketing team utilizing proven marketing techniques to significantly grow the quality and quantity of MQLs in defined territories from the following healthcare practitioner verticals: chiropractors, physical therapists, athletic therapists, registered massage therapists, podiatrists, chiropodists, naturopathic doctors and veterinarians
  • Incentivize the marketing team with special programs/awards to drive performance and achieve/exceed marketing objectives

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • University bachelor's degree in marketing
  • +5 years of proven marketing experience marketing medical devices via a RRM
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills with an ability to produce and defend well-designed marketing strategies and conduct effective marketing presentations using a variety of oral, written and digital mediums
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Strong leader, with an ability to effectively train, mentor and manage their marketing team to surpass their marketing performance objectives
  • Able to task the internal marketing team and external marketing consultants to achieve/exceed objectives
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills and process improvement techniques
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple objectives throughout the day
  • Able to swiftly adapt to changes and the latest marketing intelligence
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Independent and interdependent with a proven ability to achieve/exceed marketing performance objectives
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated and professional in demeanor with ability to take initiative
  • Team player with a proven ability to build positive relationships at all levels of an organization; especially with healthcare practitioners, their internal marketing team, external marketing consultants and senior management
  • Polished individual who remains calm and focused under pressure
  • Deadline orientated with an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Personally committed to focus, deliver and be accountable for their performance
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize, possessing excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation:

$70,000 to $90,000 base, commensurate with experience + performance bonus + employee benefits (after 3 months) + stock options, subject to board of director approval.
