ABOUT THE TEAM

PetSmart's Canadian Home Office (CHO) is home to approximately 50 full-time associates who work in departments such as Human Resources, Merchandise Buying and Pricing, Replenishment, Marketing, Finance, Space Planning and more. The small but mighty team at the CHO supports the operations of 140+ PetSmart stores in Canada and works closely with counterparts at PetSmart's global corporate headquarters located in Phoenix, Arizona. We also share the Canadian home office with our colleagues at PetSmart Charities of Canada-an independent, registered charity dedicated to reducing pet homelessness and supporting the bond between people and pets.

SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to support the marketing teams with various cross functional projects. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will work on a variety of projects but will focus largely on the continued project management of the in-store demo event program, new brand launches, weekly sales reporting and other ad hoc requests

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Instore demo program comprising of:

  • New Brand launches: work with cross functional partners within the company and externally to ensure that a full marketing program supports the new products.
  • In Store/Virtual Events:
  • Planning and scheduling of events
  • Cross functional work with merchant buyers, marketing managers and vendors to ensure all details come together
  • Ability to build/modify educational decks in PowerPoint
  • Ensure flawless planning and execution of events
  • Paid Social:
  • Assist in briefing designers on creating assets for Paid Social campaigns
  • Coordinate the sending of product samples to external PR agency, influencers and media.
  • Assist in photo shoots or other PR-related activities as needed.
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Write ad copy and coordinate the trafficking of creative assets to paid media agency to execute monthly.
  • Weekly web competitive monitoring
  • Assist with setting up featured shops on petsmart.ca
  • Assist with monthly app set up in Contentful
  • PLA feed management. Run the instock report and update both agencies feed daily. Add sale retails once a month for new ML and then for every weekend sales event. Update skus to reflect new and/or discontinued products.
  • Weekly Sales reporting: weekly sales reports recapping the Mobile App Services bookings to the senior leadership team
  • Learn internal systems
  • PAW, SAP, AMS to create offers and to pull data to analyze effectiveness of events
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with cross functional partners within the company and externally

Sales reporting: weekly sales reports recapping the Mobile App Services bookings to the senior leadership team
